Networking to Success.
The whole is better than the sum of the parts.
Over the last few years computers have become more and more networked together. A large proportion of private machines are users of the Internet and most company computers are attached to their own internal network. We, like most companies, have our own internal network. In our case our desktop machines run Windows 98, XP, 2000 and Linux and our servers run NT, Linux - a common mix of operating systems.
Go with the flow.
We have supplied, extended and upgraded many networks, as our customers have needed. The common technology and economics of networking has changed over the years so our use has closely mirrored that. Our customers are in the same position, so that the technology on their networks has changed similarly. There is an ever increasing speed of networking and now radio lans have come to increase the variety of options.
One shop help.
Our involvement has included designing the network architecture, choosing the technology, installing the cabling, ports and equipment and configuring the equipment and the computers. In Kintyre we have even run the cable around cliffs over the sea! We maintain a stock of all the common components of networks so that we can install when and where we are asked.
